Bethany Has Arrived!

She is here! Bethany Joy Allen made her entrance into this world on December 24th at 7:50pm! She weighed 7lbs 12oz, and was full of energy when she arrived! What an adventure! Nine months of waiting for the little darling, and now here she is at last! She was greeted with much anticipation by her Daddy Bob! Mommy was still asleep due to an emergency c-section and I did not get to meet her until later on when I woke up. Her Grandma was one of the first people to hear her cry when Bob called her on the phone to let her know that her first Grandchild had been born. Grandma Gonzales heard baby Bethany cry even before I did! She is almost one week old, and Bob and I can not stop staring at her and wondering in disbelief that she is actually our little baby. She is so precious, and as we gaze at her sleeping and hold her little hands, and stroke her little face, we thank our Heavenly Father for allowing us to have Bethany for a time. We pray that above all, Bethany comes to know Him as her Saviour at a young age, and that she will grow to be a Godly woman, ready to serve Him in whatever aspect he has prepared for her. Thank you Lord, for our sweet Joy... our little Bethany Joy!

Waiting on Bethany!

Ten days away. Ten days away from December 17th! The estimated date that Bethany Joy Allen is to arrive! We have everything ready for her. Her little bed, the rocking chair, changing table a stroller. The car seat was installed by Bob yesterday in the car. The bag for the hospital has been packed and repacked! Her little bottles have been sterilized along with her little pink pacifiers, and the outfit for her trip home from the hospital has been prepared. All of the earthly things she will need are ready for her, but more importantly, we have been praying since we knew little Bethany was to be born for her Spiritual needs. We know that God has a plan for little Bethany and we pray each day that we can raise her up in a way that she would be able to fulfill that plan, just as our wonderful parents did for us! So, we wait excitedly for the arrival of our Joy! One of the joys in life that the Lord has so graciously bestowed upon us, and most definitely one of the greatest joys of all!

The Adventure Begins...

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

This morning my husband and I left home... Our home is in New Mexico. We have left temporarily for a job in Texas, but we will return to my beloved mountains of New Mexico, and when we do return we will have our sweet little baby Bethany with us! Until then we will keep you updated on all that is going on, and we will be posting lots of pictures of the baby! It was hard to leave home, it is harder to leave behind the family that you love. But God is the strength of our hearts and He is always by our side. We love you Mom, Dad, Rose and Mike! We will see you soon!
